01 · Consultation
What happens in the first 45 minutes?
The first conversation covers the area you want to address, your routine, budget, previous experience and preferred style. It is private, and the goal is to explain whether a patch is a sensible option before asking you to decide.
Bring style references and details of any current system. Mention exercise, helmet use, travel, scalp sensitivity and how much maintenance feels realistic.
02 · Template and match
How are size, colour and density chosen?
The stylist maps the exact coverage area, then compares colour, wave, density and the front hairline with your own hair. These choices determine whether the finished system blends quietly rather than looking separate or unnecessarily dense.
You also compare skin, lace, hybrid, mono and clip-on bases. The base guide explains the trade-offs before your visit.
03 · Fitting
What happens during the 2-hour fitting?
The coverage area is prepared, the system is positioned and secured, then the hair is cut and blended while you wear it. The process is non-surgical and you review the hairline, density and overall shape before leaving.
- Inspect the unit against the agreed specification.
- Prepare and clean the coverage area.
- Position and secure the base.
- Cut, blend and make final styling adjustments.
04 · Servicing
Why is regular servicing part of the fitting plan?
A bonded system is not a fit-and-forget purchase. Around every 3–4 weeks it should be removed, cleaned, checked and re-bonded so the base sits neatly and the scalp and surrounding hair can be cared for.
We service systems fitted here and hair patches from other studios.
First 30 days
How should you care for a new fitting?
The first month is about learning a gentle routine: protect the settling bond, wash only when advised, detangle without pulling, limit excessive heat and contact the studio if an edge lifts or the scalp feels uncomfortable.
| When | What to do |
|---|---|
| First 48 hours | Follow the adhesive-specific washing and sweating advice |
| First week | Brush gently, avoid pulling the front and note any lifting |
| Weeks 2–3 | Use only the recommended wash and styling routine |
| By week 4 | Prepare for service according to your 3–4-week plan |
Good to know
What do people ask before booking?
These are the practical questions we hear most often. Your own recommendation can still differ because coverage, base, routine and attachment are personal.
What should I bring to the consultation?+
Bring reference photos of styles you like, details of any current system, and an honest description of your routine. If you wear a helmet or exercise often, mention that too.
Do I choose the base on the first visit?+
You can compare the options during the consultation. We explain hairline, comfort, durability, upkeep and price before recommending a base.
Will my existing hair be cut?+
Hair inside the coverage area may need trimming for a bonded system. The surrounding hair is cut and blended with the system. We agree the approach before starting.
How long is fitting day?+
Allow about 2 hours for preparation, attachment, cutting and blending. A custom or complex fitting may take longer, and the studio will confirm the appointment length.
When can I wash it?+
Your stylist gives instructions based on the adhesive and base. The first wash is usually delayed while the bond settles; follow the exact timing given at fitting.
What happens during the first month?+
Keep products gentle, brush carefully, avoid pulling at the hairline and note any lifting or discomfort. Your first service is normally planned within the usual servicing interval.
