The appointment
What is included in a hair patch service?
A routine visit removes the system safely, clears old adhesive, cleans the scalp and base, checks for damage, applies fresh attachment and restyles the hair. The aim is a clean bond and a natural finish, not simply adding more glue.
- Remove the system and old tape or adhesive.
- Clean the scalp and the underside of the base.
- Check edges, shedding and any repair needs.
- Apply fresh tape or adhesive and re-bond accurately.
- Wash, finish and restyle where needed.
Timing
How often should a patch be serviced?
Most people plan a visit every 3–4 weeks. Kolkata humidity, monsoon weather, exercise, oily skin and the chosen adhesive can shorten that interval, while leaving a loose or dirty bond too long can make cleaning harder.
Book earlier if an edge lifts, the system moves, residue becomes visible or your scalp feels uncomfortable. Never use household adhesive as a temporary fix.
Assessment
Can a damaged patch be repaired?
Small edge tears, limited shedding and attachment wear may be repairable. Widespread shedding, a stretched base or repeated tears can make replacement better value, so repairs and replacement units are quoted only after inspection.
No closed ecosystem
Can I bring a patch from another studio?
Yes. Our hair patch servicing is open to any brand, studio or online purchase. Bring any base details you have, but do not worry if you are unsure; the stylist can identify the likely construction while assessing its condition.
A previous bond method does not lock you into it. We discuss comfort, activity and upkeep before suggesting tape, liquid adhesive or another approach.
Price
What does servicing cost?
Routine cleaning and re-bonding starts at ₹1,000 per visit. Extensive adhesive removal, repairs, replacement hair or a new unit are separate and confirmed before work begins.
| Service | Starting price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Clean and re-bond | ₹1,000 | Usually every 3–4 weeks |
| Repair | Assessed first | Depends on base and damage |
| Replacement unit | From ₹6,000 | Fitting included |
Good to know
What do people ask before booking?
These are the practical questions we hear most often. Your own recommendation can still differ because coverage, base, routine and attachment are personal.
Do you service patches from another studio?+
Yes. Bring the system and tell us when it was last serviced. We inspect the base, hair, adhesive and any damage before confirming what can be done.
How long does servicing take?+
Timing depends on the adhesive build-up, base condition, washing and whether repairs are needed. We confirm the likely appointment time after seeing the system.
How often should I book?+
A typical interval is 3–4 weeks. Heavy sweating, monsoon humidity, oily skin or a delicate base may make a shorter interval more comfortable.
Can you repair tears or shedding?+
Small tears and limited shedding may be repairable, depending on their position and the age of the base. We assess repairs before beginning and will say plainly when replacement is better value.
What should I do before the appointment?+
Avoid adding household glue or strong solvents. Bring the patch as it is, plus any product information you have. If it is currently fitted, tell us when booking.
